Hello, I am Mrs. Rutan.  Welcome to our classroom where exceptional learning is going on!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher and looking forward to a great year! For your child’s journey to be successful, it is essential for us to understand that each child is a unique individual with special qualities and needs. With the support of students and families, we will create a classroom environment that will recognize and respect individuality. To support each student’s learning, I will create a classroom that offers a variety of meaningful teaching styles so that each child will have the opportunity to succeed. I am so glad you stopped by. Take a peek at all of the information that is offered to you.  I invite you to play an active role in your child’s education by talking with your child each day about their learning, reading together every night, and communicating with me. I want there to be open communication between us. If at any time you have a question, I will be happy to talk to you. Either, write me a note in your child's agenda, on class Dojo, or email me and I will try to respond as soon as possible. I want you to feel well informed throughout the year.  I'm looking forward to spending the school year teaching and helping your student achieve great things. To help your student put their best foot forward into the new year, I suggest that they have as many opportunities to read and practice their basic addition and subtraction facts all year round as this will help them succeed.
